Packaging Covenant The Australian Packaging Covenant* supersedes the National Packaging Covenant, which expired in June 2010. IMS has many years experience (see below) in developing Action Plans and Annual Reports for many Packaging Covenant signatories and can give advice on compliance with the new Australian Packaging Covenant. Some signatories, especially small-medium enterprises may have difficulty in finding the best way to manage their planning and reporting commitments under the Australian Packaging Covenant. A solution using a fully customised Microsoft Access database has been devised that easily guides signatories through the APC requirements to quickly develop an action plan and then ensure that the plan is systematically worked through to generate compliant annual reports. Integrated Management Systems has developed efficient and simple to use software to aid your company prepare Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) Action Plans and Annual Reports. With preconfigured formats and one click progress and final reports the software will definitely assist your planning, information gathering and reporting process. * The Australian Packaging Covenant applies to manufacturers or brand owners with turnover in excess of $5 million/year. Non participating elegible companies may be subject to NEPM's (National Environmental Protection Measures) which have significant fines for non compliance. |
Specifically,
the database <> Meets all APC requirements and has a simple intuitive layout, <> Has an easy input form for providing information for your companys initial status and action proposed, <> Has a preformatted Action Plan based on your proposed commitments, <> Controls implementation by using Overdue Issues and Overdue Issues by Responsibility reports, <> Annual Report based on your proposed commitments. The Australian Packaging Covenant Secretariat has reviewed the database and has kindly allowed it to be promoted through their APC website. The new Australian Packaging Covenant also requires a higher level of supporting evidence record keeping than was required under previous Packaging Covenant arrangements. IMS will ensure that your company has appropriate record keeping systems so that all your environmental claims can be fully and easily proven in case your company is audited by the Australian Packaging Covenant. If necessary IMS can assist your Packaging Covenant compliance to be integrated into a wider company quality, safety or environmental management system. |
